ବେଦାଙ୍ଗଦାସ ମହାନ୍ତି
ବେଦାଙ୍ଗଦାସ ମହାନ୍ତି ଜଣେ ଓଡ଼ିଆ ଓ ପ୍ରଫେସର । ସେ ଓଡ଼ିଶାର ଭୁବନେଶ୍ୱରରେ ଥିବା ରାଷ୍ଟ୍ରୀୟ ବିଜ୍ଞାନ ଶିକ୍ଷା ଏବଂ ଅନୁସନ୍ଧାନ ସଂସ୍ଥାନଠାରେ ପ୍ରାକୃତିକ ବିଜ୍ଞାନ ବିଭାଗର ପ୍ରଫେସର । ୨୦୧୫ରେ ପ୍ରାକୃତିକ ବିଜ୍ଞାନ ପାଇଁ ଭାରତର ସର୍ବୋଚ୍ଚ ପୁରସ୍କାର "ଶାନ୍ତି ସ୍ୱରୂପ ଭଟ୍ଟନାଗର ବିଜ୍ଞାନ ଓ ପ୍ରଯୁକ୍ତିବିଦ୍ୟା ପୁରସ୍କାର" ବିଜେତା ।[୧] [୨] [୩] ଦାସ ଏକ୍ସପେରିମେଣ୍ଟାଲ ହାଇ ଏନର୍ଜି ଫିଜିକ୍ସ (experimental high energy physics) ଉପରେ ଗବେଷଣା କରୁଛନ୍ତି । ତାଙ୍କର ଅନ୍ୟାନ୍ୟ ଗବେଷଣା କ୍ୱାଣ୍ଟମ ମେକାନିକ୍ସ ଓ ଆପେକ୍ଷିକତା ଆଦି ବିଷୟରେ ।[୪]

ବେଦାଙ୍ଗଦାସ ମହାନ୍ତି ଓଡ଼ିଶାରେ ଜନ୍ମ ନେଇଥିଲେ ।
ଶିକ୍ଷା ଓ ଗବେଷଣା ସମ୍ପାଦନା
ଦାସ ଭୁବନେଶ୍ୱରର ଭାରତୀୟ ପଦାର୍ଥ ବିଜ୍ଞାନ ଅନୁଷ୍ଠାନରୁ ୨୦୦୨ ମସିହାରେ ପିଏଚଡ଼ି ସମ୍ମାନ ଲାଭ କରିଥିଲେ । ସେ କଲିକତାର ଭେରିଅବଲ ଏନର୍ଜି ସେଣ୍ଟରଠାରେ ୨୦୦୨ରୁ ୨୦୦୩ ମଧ୍ୟରେ ଡିଏଇ କେଏସ କୃଷ୍ଣନ ଫେଲୋ ଭାବେ କାମ କରୁଥିଲେ । ପରେ ୨୦୦୪ରୁ ୨୦୧୨ ଯାଏ ସେ ସେଠାରେ ସାଇଣ୍ଟିଫିକ ଅଫିସର ଭାବେ କାମ କରୁଥିଲେ । ୨୦୦୬ରୁ ୨୦୦୭ ଭିତରେ ସେ ଆମେରିକାର ଲରେନ୍ସ ବର୍କଲି ନ୍ୟାସନାଲ ଲାବୋରୋଟୋରିଠାରେ ପୋଷ୍ଟ-ଡକ୍ଟରାଲ ଫେଲୋ ଭାବେ କାମ କରୁଥିଲେ ।[୫]
