ଡାଇମରକାପ୍ରୋଲ (ଇଂରାଜୀ ଭାଷାରେ Dimercaprol ବା British anti-Lewisite/BAL) ଏକ ଔଷଧ ଯାହା ସିସା, ସୁନା (gold) ଓ ଆର୍ସେନିକ ବିଷକ୍ରିୟାର ଚିକିତ୍ସାରେ ଦିଆଯାଏ ।[୨] ବିଷକ୍ରିୟା (antimony), ଥାଲିଅମ (thallium) ଓ ବିସମଥ ବିଷକ୍ରିୟାରେ (bismuth poisoning) ବ୍ୟବ‌ହାର ହେଉଥିଲା ମଧ୍ୟ ଉପକାରୀତାର ବିଶେଷ ପ୍ରମାଣ ମିଳିନାହିଁ ।[୨][୩] ଏହା ଇଞ୍ଜେକସନ ଆକାରରେ ମାଂସପେଶୀରେ (injection into a muscle) ଦିଆଯାଏ । [୨]

ଡାଇମରକାପ୍ରୋଲର ପାର୍ଶ୍ୱ ପ୍ରତିକ୍ରିୟାରେ ଉଚ୍ଚ ରକ୍ତଚାପ, ଇଞ୍ଜେକସନ ଦେବା ସ୍ଥାନରେ କଷ୍ଟ, ବାନ୍ତି ଓ ଜ୍ୱର ହୋଇପାରେ । ଚିନାବାଦାମ ଆଲର୍ଜି (peanut allergies) ଥିବା ଲୋକ‌କୁ ଏହା ଦିଆଯାଏନାହିଁ । ଗର୍ଭାବସ୍ଥାରେ ଶିଶୁ ପ୍ରତି ଏହାର ନିରାପତ୍ତା ସ୍ପଷ୍ଟ ହୋଇନାହିଁ । ଡାଇମରକାପ୍ରୋଲ ଓଜନ‌ଦାର ଧାତୁ ସ‌ହିତ ଚିଲେସନ କରି (ବନ୍ଧିତ) (binding with heavy metals) ହୋଇ କାମ କରେ ।[୨]

ଡାଇମରକାପ୍ରୋଲ ଦ୍ୱିତୀୟ ମହାଯୁଦ୍ଧ (World War II) ସମୟରେ ପ୍ରଥମେ ପ୍ରସ୍ତୁତ ହୋଇଥିଲା ।[୪] ଏହାର ନାମ ବିଶ୍ୱ ସ୍ୱାସ୍ଥ୍ୟ ସଂଗଠନର ଅତ୍ୟାବଶ୍ୟକୀୟ ଔଷଧ ଚିଠାରେ (World Health Organization's List of Essential Medicines) ଅଛି ଯାହା ମୌଳିକ ସ୍ୱାସ୍ଥ୍ୟ ସିସ୍ଟମ (health system) ନିମନ୍ତେ ଅତି ମହତ୍ତ୍ୱପୂର୍ଣ୍ଣ ।[୫] ଯୁକ୍ତରାଷ୍ଟ୍ର ଆମେରିକାରେ ଏହାର ଏକ କୋର୍ଷରେ ମୂଲ୍ୟ ୨୦୦ ଆମେରିକୀୟ ଡଲାରରୁ ଅଧିକ ।[୬]
