Usage
ଛାଞ୍ଚ:ISO 639 name ar is part of a series that resolves the ISO 639-1, ISO 639-2 and ISO 639-3 codes to language names.
It is used by {{Translated page}} with language code ar, for example: {{Translated page |ar |name of page at Arabic Wikipedia}}. This template is used to generate a link to the Arabic Wikipedia and could be used to include pages in Category:Pages translated from Arabic Wikipedia (may be created using {{Translated sub-cat |ar}}).
Former usage
The following templates now use Module:Lang, which stores the language code and name data in Module:Language/data/iana languages, Module:Language/data/ISO 639-3, and Module:Language/data/wp languages.
- {{Lang|ar| some text in Arabic}} wraps the text with <span lang="ar"> and includes articles in Category:Articles containing Arabic-language text. Also available is {{Lang-ar |some text in Arabic}} which displays as ଆରବୀ: some text in Arabic

- {{R from other language|ar|("to" language code)}} includes pages in Category:Redirects from Arabic-language terms (may be created using {{Redirect from alternative language category}}).
- {{R from alternative language|("from" language code)|ar}} includes pages in Category:Redirects to Arabic-language terms (may be created using {{Redirect to alternative language category}}).
