ସୀମା ରାଓ, ଭାରତର ପ୍ରଥମ ମହିଳା କମାଣ୍ଡୋ ପ୍ରଶିକ୍ଷକ ଅଟନ୍ତି । ସେ ଭାରତର ବିସ୍ମୟ ମହିଳା ଭାବରେ ପରିଚିତ ।[୧][୨][୩][୪][୫][୬][୭][୮][୯][୧୦][୧୧][୧୨] ସେ ଦୁଇ ଦଶନ୍ଧୀ ଧରି ଭାରତର ସଶସ୍ତ୍ର ବଳ କମାଣ୍ଡୋମାନଙ୍କୁ ବିନା ପାରିଶ୍ରମିକରେ ପ୍ରଶିକ୍ଷଣ ଦେଉଛନ୍ତି ।[୧୩] ଅତି ନିକଟରୁ ଲଢା ଯାଉଥିବା "କ୍ଲୋଜ କ୍ୱାର୍ଟର ବ୍ୟାଟେଲ"ରେ ସେ ଧୁରନ୍ଧର ଓ ଭାରତର ବିଭିନ୍ନ ସଶସ୍ତ୍ର ବଳଙ୍କୁ ଏଥିରେ ପ୍ରଶିକ୍ଷଣ ଦେଇଛନ୍ତି ।[୧୪] [୧୫] ଏହି କାମରେ ତାଙ୍କ ସାଥୀ ମେଜର ଦୀପକ ରାଓ ମଧ୍ୟ କ୍ଲୋଜ କ୍ୱାର୍ଟର ବ୍ୟାଟେଲରେ ଧୁରୀଣ ଓ ଏଥିପାଇଁ ରାଷ୍ଟ୍ରପତି ପଦକ ହାସଲ କରିଛନ୍ତି ।[୧୬][୧୭]

ସୀମା ଜି ଏସ ମେଡିକାଲ କଲେଜରୁ ଡାକ୍ତରୀ ଶିକ୍ଷାରେ ସ୍ନାତକୋତ୍ତର ଡିଗ୍ରୀ ହାସଲ କରିଛନ୍ତି ଓ କ୍ରାଇସିସ ମ୍ୟାନେଜମେଣ୍ଟରେ ଏମବିଏ ମଧ୍ୟ କରିଛନ୍ତି । ସେ "ୱେଷ୍ଟମିନିଷ୍ଟର ବିଜିନେସ ସ୍କୁଲ"ର ପୁରାତନ ଛାତ୍ରୀ । ୧୯ବର୍ଷ ବୟସରେ ସେ ମେଜର ଦୀପକ ରାଓଙ୍କୁ ବିବାହ କରିଥିଲେ ।[୧୮] ନିଜ ସ୍ୱାମୀଙ୍କ ସହିତ ମିଶି[୧୯] ସେ ୧୫୦୦୦ ସୈନ୍ୟଙ୍କୁ କ୍ଲୋଜ କ୍ୱାର୍ଟର ବ୍ୟାଟେଲର ପ୍ରଶିକ୍ଷଣ ପ୍ରଦାନ କରିଛନ୍ତି ।[୨୦][୨୧]

ଭାରତୀୟ ବାୟୁସେନା ସହ ସ୍କାଇ ଡାଇଭିଂ କରି, ସୀମା "ପାରା ଉଇଂସ" ହାସଲ କରିଛନ୍ତି । ସେ ଆର୍ମି ମାଉଣ୍ଟେନିୟରିଂ ଅନୁଷ୍ଠାନରୁ ଏଚଏମଆଇ ମେଡାଲ ପ୍ରାପ୍ତ ହୋଇଛନ୍ତି । ମିଲିଟାରୀ ମାର୍ସାଲ ଆର୍ଟରେ ସେ ଜଣେ ୮ମ ଡିଗ୍ରୀ ବ୍ଲାକବେଲ୍ଟ ଧାରୀ । ସେ ଜଣେ " ଜୀତ କୁନେ ଦୋ" କଳାର ଆଧିକାରୀକ ପ୍ରଶିକ୍ଷକ ।[୨୨] ସେ "ମିସେସ ୱାର୍ଲଡ଼" ପ୍ରତିଯୋଗୀତାର ଫାଇନାଲ ସ୍ଥରକୁ ମଧ୍ୟ ଯାଇ ପାରିଥିଲେ । ସେ "ବ୍ରୁସ ଲି"ଙ୍କ ଶିଷ୍ୟ "ରିଚାର୍ଡ଼ ବୁଷ୍ଟିଲୋ"ଙ୍କଠାରୁ "ଜୀତ କୁନେ ଦୋ" ମାର୍ସାଲ ଯୁଦ୍ଧକଳାରେ ପ୍ରଶିକ୍ଷଣ ଲାଭ କରିଛନ୍ତି ।[୨୩]

ସୀମାଙ୍କୁ ଭାରତର ପ୍ରଥମ ମହିଳା କମୋଣ୍ଡୋ ଟ୍ରେନର ଭାବରେ ପରିଗଣିତ କରାଯାଏ ।[୨୪] ସେ ନାରୀ ସୁରକ୍ଷା ଉପରେ ଲେଖିଥିବା ବହୁ ପ୍ରସଙ୍ଗ ପ୍ରକାଶିତ ହୋଇଛି ।[୨୫][୨୬][୨୭]

ସୀମା, ବନ୍ଧୁକ ଯୁଦ୍ଧ ବିଧିର ଆଧୁନିକୀକରଣ ଦିଗରେ କାର୍ଯ୍ୟ କରିଛନ୍ତି । ତାଙ୍କ ଅନୁସନ୍ଧାନରୁ ସେ "ଦ ରାଓ ସିଷ୍ଟମ ଅଫ ରିଫ୍ଲେକ୍ସ ଫାୟାର" ନାମରେ ଅଳ୍ପ ଦୂର ଯୁଦ୍ଧ ବିଧି ଉଦଭାବନ କରିଛନ୍ତି ।[୨୮][୨୯] ଏହି ବିଧିକୁ ପେଟେଣ୍ଟ କରାଯାଇଛି ଓ ପରୀକ୍ଷା ମୂଳକ ବ୍ୟବହାର ଦେଖାଯାଇଛି ଯେ, ଧରାବନ୍ଧା ଯୁଦ୍ଧ କଳା ଅପେକ୍ଷା ଏହା ଅଧିକ ଫଳପ୍ରଦ । ଭାରତୀୟ ସ୍ଥଳସେନାଦ୍ୱାରା ଏହା ବିଧିକୁ ବ୍ୟବହାର କରିବା ପରେ, ସୀମା ଓ ତାଙ୍କ ପତି ଦୀପକଙ୍କୁ ଆର୍ମି କମାଣ୍ଡର ସାଇଟେସନ ମିଳିଛି ।

ସୀମା ଓ ଦୀପକ ୧୫୦୦୦ ଭାରତୀୟ ସୈନ୍ୟଙ୍କୁ ଦୁଇ ଦଶନ୍ଧି ଧରି ଯୁଦ୍ଧକଳା ଶିକ୍ଷାପ୍ରଦାନ କରି ଆର୍ମି ସାଇଟେସନ ଲାଭ କରିଛନ୍ତି ।[୩୦] ଭାରତୀୟ ସେନାର ବିଭିନ୍ନ ବିଭାଗକୁ ସେମାନେ ପ୍ରଶିକ୍ଷଣ ପ୍ରଦାନ କରିଛନ୍ତି ଓ ସେଥିପାଇଁ ସୀମାଙ୍କୁ ବର୍ଷ ତମାମ ବିଭିନ୍ନ ଦୂରାତିଦୂର ସ୍ଥାନରେ ରହିବାକୁ ପଡିଥାଏ ।[୩୧]

ସୀମାଙ୍କ ପିତା ରମାକାନ୍ତ ସିନାରୀ ଜଣେ ସ୍ୱାଧୀନତା ସଂଗ୍ରାମୀ ଓ ଗୋଆକୁ ପର୍ତ୍ତୁଗାଲମାନଙ୍କଠାରୁ ସ୍ୱାଧୀନ କରେଇବାରେ ମୁଖ୍ୟ ଭୂମିକା ଗ୍ରହଣ କରିଥିଲେ । ୧୯ବର୍ଷ ବୟସରେ ସୀମା ମେଜର ଦୀପକ ରାଓଙ୍କ ବିବାହ କରିଥିଲେ । ନିଜେ କୌଣସି ସନ୍ତାନ ପ୍ରସବ ନକରି ସେ କୋମଳ ନାମକ ଝିଅକୁ ଆଡପ୍ଟ କରିଛନ୍ତି । କୋମଳ ବୃତିରେ ଜଣେ ଡାକ୍ତର ଓ ବିଶ୍ୱର ଏକମାତ୍ର ମହିଳା, ଯିଏ "କେଜ ଫାଇଟ"ରେ ଜଣେ ପୁରୁଷ ପ୍ରତିଦ୍ୱନ୍ଦୀଙ୍କୁ ହରେଇଛନ୍ତି ।[୩୨]
