ଭାଙ୍କୋମାଇସିନ ଏକ ଆଣ୍ଟିବାୟୋଟିକ ଯାହା ଅନେକ ପ୍ରକାରର ଜୀବାଣୁ ସଂକ୍ରମଣର ଚିକିତ୍ସା ନିମନ୍ତେ ଦିଆଯାଏ । ^[୧] ଶିରା ଇଞ୍ଜେକସନ ଆକାରରେ ପ୍ରଥମ ଧାଡ଼ି ଚିକିତ୍ସା ଭାବରେରେ ଏହା ଦିଆଯାଉଥିବା ଜଟିଳ ହୋଇଥିବା ରୋଗମାନଙ୍କ ନାମ ଚର୍ମ ସଂକ୍ରମଣ, ରକ୍ତ ସଂକ୍ରମଣ, ଏଣ୍ଡୋକାର୍ଡ଼ାଇଟିସ, ଅସ୍ଥି-ଗଣ୍ଠି ସଂକ୍ରମଣ ଓ ମେଥିସିଲିନ ପ୍ରତିରୋଧିତ ସ୍ଟାଫିଲୋକୋକସ ଅରିଅସ ସଂକ୍ରମଣ ରୋଗ ସମୂହ ।^[୨] ରକ୍ତ ପରୀକ୍ଷା କରି ଏହାର ସଠିକ ଡୋଜ ଦିଆଯାଇପାରେ ।^[୩] ଏହି ଔଷଧ ସାଂଘାତିକ କ୍ଲସ୍ଟ୍ରିଡିଅମ ଡିଫିସିଲ କୋଲାଇଟିସ ରୋଗରେ ପାଟିରେ ଦିଆଯାଇପାରେ । ପାଟିରେ ଦିଆଯାଉଥିବା ଔଷଧ ଭଲରୂପେ ଅବଶୋଷିତ ହୋଇପାରେ ନାହିଁ । ^[୧]

ଇଞ୍ଜେକସନ ଦିଆଯାଇଥିବା ସ୍ଥାନରେ କଷ୍ଟ ଓ ଆଲର୍ଜି ଏହାର ମୂଖ୍ୟ ପାର୍ଶ୍ୱ ପ୍ରତିକ୍ରିୟା । ବେଳେ ବେଳେ ଶ୍ରବଣ ଅସୁବିଧା, ନିମ୍ନ ରକ୍ତଚାପ ଓ ଅସ୍ଥିମଜ୍ଜା ଦମନ ଭଳି ପ୍ରତିକ୍ରିୟା ହୁଏ ।^[୧] ଗର୍ଭାବସ୍ଥାରେ ଏହାର ନିରାପତ୍ତା ସ୍ପଷ୍ଟ ନ ହେଲେ ମଧ୍ୟ କୌଣସି କ୍ଷତି ହେବାର ପ୍ରମାଣ ମିଳିନାହିଁ, ^[୧]^[୪] ଓ ସ୍ତନ୍ୟପାନରେ ଏହା ନିରାପଦ ଥିବା ସମ୍ଭାବନା ଅଧିକ । ^[୫] ଏହା ଏକ ପ୍ରକାର ଗ୍ଲାଇକୋପେପ୍‌ଟାଇଡ ଆଣ୍ଟିବାୟୋଟିକ ଯାହା ଜୀବକୋଷ କାନ୍ଥ ତିଆରିକୁ ପ୍ରତିହତ କରେ ।^[୧]
