ହିନ୍ଦୁମାନେ ତ୍ରିମୂର୍ତ୍ତି ଭାବେ ବ୍ରହ୍ମା, ବିଷ୍ଣୁ ଓ ମହେଶ୍ୱରଙ୍କୁ ପୂଜା କରିଥାନ୍ତି। ଏମାନେ ହେଉଛନ୍ତି ଯଥାକ୍ରମେ ସୃଷ୍ଟି, ପାଳନ ଓ ସଂହାରର ଦେବତା। <ref>For quotation defining the trimurti see Matchett, Freda.
