ନୂଆଖାଇ ଏକ ଗଣପର୍ବ । ଗ୍ରାମ ବା ସହରର ପଡ଼ା ଅଞ୍ଚଳରେ ନୂଆଖାଇ ଦିନ ନବାନ୍ନ ଦେଇ ପୂଜା ବିଧି ସମାପ୍ତ ହେବା ପରେ ପରିବାରର ମୁଖ୍ଯଙ୍କ ହାତରୁ ସମସ୍ତେ ନବାନ୍ନ ଭୋଗ ଗ୍ରହଣ କରନ୍ତି । ତାହା ଖାଇ ସାରି ପରିବାରର ସମସ୍ତ ବ୍ୟକ୍ତି ନିଜର ବୟସ୍କ ମାନଙ୍କୁବୟସ୍କମାନଙ୍କୁ ଭୂମିଷ୍ଠ ପ୍ରଣାମ ସହ ଆଶୀର୍ବାଦ ଗ୍ରହଣ କରନ୍ତି । ପରେ ପିଠା ପଣା ସହ ନବାନ୍ନ ଭୋଜି ଖାଇ ସାରି ଗ୍ରାମ ବା ପଡ଼ୋଶୀରେ ଥିବା ସମସ୍ତ ବୟୋଜ୍ୟେଷ୍ଠ ମାନଙ୍କୁ ଭେଟି ପ୍ରଣାମ କରିଥାନ୍ତି । ଏହି ସମୟରେ ଗ୍ରାମ ବା ପଡ଼ାର ଲୋକ ମାନେ ନିଜ ଭିତରେ ପୂର୍ବରୁ ଥିବା ଭେଦ ଭାବ ଭୁଲି ଯାଆନ୍ତି । ପରିବାରମଧ୍ୟରେ ଥିବା ମତଭେଦ ମଧ୍ୟ ଏହି ସମୟରେ ସମାଧାନ ହୋଇଥାଏ ।<ref> What ever may be the fact it is a celebration of the mass.
