'''ମାଛରଙ୍କା''' ଗୋଟିଏ ବଡ ପ୍ରଜାତିର ମାଛରଙ୍କା ପକ୍ଷୀ । ଏହାର ଲମ୍ବ ୨୫ - ୩୦ ସେ. ମି. ପର୍ଯ୍ୟନ୍ତ ହୋଇଥାଏ । ଏହି ପକ୍ଷୀ ଯେତେବେଳେ ଯୁବକ ଓ ଯୁବତୀ ଅବସ୍ଥାକୁ ଆସିଥାନ୍ତି ସେମାନଙ୍କର ଡେଣା ଓ ଲାଞ୍ଜ ଗୁଡିକ ନୀଳ, ମୁଣ୍ଡ କାନ୍ଧ ପିଠି ଓ ତଳିପେଟ ମାଟିଆ, ଥନ୍ତ କମଲା ଓ ଛାତି ଧଳା ରଙ୍ଗର ହୋଇଥାଏ । ଏମାନେ ଛୋଟ ଛୋଟ ମାଛ, କିଟ ଓ ପତଙ୍ଗ ଖାଇଥାନ୍ତି . ଏମାନଙ୍କର ବୟସ ସୀମା ପାଖାପାଖି ୭ ବର୍ଷ । ମୌସୁମୀ ଆସିବା ସମୟରେ ଏମାନେ ନିଜର ପ୍ରଜନନ କାର୍ଯ୍ୟ ଆରମ୍ଭ କରିଥାନ୍ତି । ମାଛରଙ୍କା, [[ଭାରତ]]ରେ ସର୍ବାଧିକ ସଂଖ୍ୟାରେ ଦେଖିବାକୁ ମିଳେ ।▼
