English: Samba dasami ghanta is a cooked vegetable dish from Odisha, India. Tropical vegetables like pointed gourd, yam, taro, flat beans, potatoes and elephant apple along with soaked mung bean, black gram, chickpea and pea are boiled with turmeric powder and salt to which drumstick (moringa) are added to boil. Tamarind and jaggery are mixed to this mixture and sautéed phutana (fenugreek seed, nigella seed, cumin seed, black mustard seed and fennel seed), curry leaves and dried chili pepper are added for seasoning. Grated coconut and chopped fresh cilantro leaves are added for garnishing.
