name - Official name of waterfall
nativename - Alternate name if available
image - Filename of picture of waterfall (no need for "Image:")
image_size - Width of image in pixels (defaults to 275)
pushpin_map - name of a location map as per {{Location map}}
pushpin_label_position - position of the pushpin label: left, right, top, bottom, none
pushpin_label' - only necessary if "name" or "official_name" are too long
location - Where the waterfall is
pushpin_map_alt - Alt text for pushpin map.
pushpin_mapsize - Must be entered as only a number—do not use px. The default value is 250.

latd - Latitude degrees. Can also be used for decimal degrees.
latm - Latitude minutes. Omit or leave blank if latd has a decimal value.
lats - Latitude seconds. Omit or leave blank if latd has a decimal value.
latNS - Latitude North or South (enter N or S). Omit or leave blank if latd has a decimal value.
longd - Longitude degrees. Can also be used for decimal degrees.
longm - Longitude minutes. Omit or leave blank if longd has a decimal value.
longs - Longitude seconds. Omit or leave blank if longd has a decimal value.
longEW - Longitude East or West (enter E or W). Omit or leave blank if longd has a decimal value.
coordinates - Use {{coord}} with type:waterbody|display=inline,title.
type - The waterfall entry on Wikipedia lists the various types of waterfalls.

The HTML markup produced by this template includes an hCard microformat, which makes the place-name and location parsable by computers, either acting automatically to catalogue articles across Wikipedia, or via a browser tool operated by a person, to (for example) add the subject to an address book. Within the hCard is a Geo microformat, which additionally makes the coordinates (latitude & longitude) parsable, so that they can be, say, looked up on a map, or downloaded to a GPS unit. If the place or venue has "established", "founded", "opened" or similar dates, use {{start date}} for the earliest of those dates unless the date is before 1583 CE.

If it has a URL, use {{URL}}.

When giving coordinates, please use an appropriate level of precision. Do not use {{coord}}'s |name= parameter.
